Texas Caucus of Black School Board Members Presents the Early Childhood Symposium

The Texas Caucus of Black School Board Members Regional Vice President Cynthia Corbin-Jarvis announces the Lancaster area Early Childhood Education Symposium on April 11, 2015 from 8 a.m. to noon at Lancaster High School located at 200 E. Wintergreen Road. It is a day of educational learning, resource sharing and collaboration.
Parents can obtain information about early learning activities and resources to help with summer learning and early literacy. Education leaders, administrators and advocates will hear about the current legislative actions that impact the direction of early learning programs and help to collaborate on ways to improve the quality of Early Childhood Education. Classroom educators will gain insight on various technology apps and classroom tools available to teachers for increasing literacy and numeracy and fluency students
The event is free and children are welcome to come along and spend the day with PBSKids Characters - Clifford the Big Red Dog and Maya and Miguel.
The first 50 Lancaster ISD parent participants will have the opportunity to win a FREE Summer Lease of a technology device pre-loaded with instructional apps.
Free Books will be available and Scholastic, a major event sponsor, will have an onsite book fair so attendees can build their own library.
